Updates from a Jaded Jared...
Hello again peeps...
After a looooong break from the blogging sphere...
I'M BACK!!!
WOOHOO!!!!
Even though exams ended exactly a week ago, i have been so busy with soooo many stuffs that i havent got a chance to sit down and even use the comp.
So here is a lil update for all what i've been doing...
In brief, the last 2 weeks has been totally dedicated to my mum! Since she sacrificed to stay at home while i was studying for exams, i was doing my part too by spending LOTS of time with her. Its till the point that its a lil tiring to go out with her.
Ok here is the details:

MON (04/12) - EXAMS END!!!! HOORAH!!! HOOORAH!!!
TUE (05/12) - Went tto IKEA TAMPINES! WOW its SOOOOO NICE! and the best thing is... PARKING IS FREE!!! Went with mum and cousins and we reallly went crazy man... Spent about 400 bucks on many things ranging from Christmas decor to new chairs for my house. I have to say i looove the place even more for being in a secluded part of the east. It soo feels like being overseas in Singapore (see the irony haha!) Although i have to say the food in IKEA alexandra still tastes better... So Mr Pua when u come back to Singapore we can go together ok? I'LL DRIVE! WAHAHA! Thereafter, drove to siglap with them for coffee @ starbucks and had my FAV expresso frappucino (YUM). It so nice to go during a lazy afternoon, sit back and chill in starbucks with family... The experience was so surreal! We should do it sometime again cous!
WED (06/12) - Another day with mum. This time with my younger cousins. This day was hell for me personally.Drove my grandma, cousins and mum to century square to watch happy feet. Let me tell you the disasters:
1. My dearest mum was running late so i had to drive down to tampines, pick up the tickets, then go and fetch them. So blady waste of time.
2. The movie was disappointing... It started out real good. Mumble is super cute. But then the story gets corny and draggy. Wat a disappointment.
3. Coming home, was supposed to drop mum in church, but i realised i forgot my key, so drove mum home to get my keys, then sent her to church. Then stupidly enough, she did not pass it to me. Then when i drove all the way home, i couldn't go in!!! So i had to go all the way back to church just to get it. Sucks rite???
Oh well, thank goodness the day was redeemed when i met my JC fren for dinner and another movie. This time... we went to watch DECK THE HALLS. Ok i must admit the show was crappy, but i needed a crappy know brainer show that tickled my funny (or some would say super lame) bone. At least it got me into the christmas mood. Haha...
(I'm dreaming of a White Christmas... I'm sooo jealous Mr Pua!)
THU (07/12) - Again with mum... this time it was more shopping with cousins at Parkway. Well i also went to the dentist who said my teeth was in impeccable condition! (ok stop deceiving yourself jared! i swear my teeth will only stay white if i stop drinking coffee... But that wont happen!!!!) Once again... my dear mum and cousins went CRAZY! Shopped for 7 hours straight and spent a fortune!!! 500 BUCKEROOS down the drain man! Oh ya and i cut my hair til real short, reminds me a bit of army days haha!
And besides that, had rushed home for quick change before rushing to meet Qing and Elvin at M.O.S.! People believe it or not, but this is only my pathetic 3rd time that i went "chionging". But it was fun! The winner for the Queen of Queens pageant going on there wasn't very pretty tho, sooo disappointing.
Oh ya n i hav to add n tell the whole world that Qing is like super popular now man!!! Wow n his dance moves are WiCkEd! Aowwww!!! For more info... please ask him yoursleves or any one of us who went clubbing with him that day hahah!
FRI (08/12) - AGAIN with mum... (sense the sarcasm?) This time it was grandma's bday so went to fetch her over to my house. Then went to the chinese docs together. Then, my bro needed stuff for resevist so went to the army shop in Bedok. And SWAY enuff got my 1ST FINE! didnt put enuff parking ticket so thats another $6 down the drain for me. Then went to church and dinner with my uncle's family at the New & Improved Chinese Swimming Club. I have to say... the renovated part is damn nice. If only i could afford membership... the pool and gym was soooo inviting (falls into dreamland... Tralala)
SAT (09/12) - Went for SYC prac. I have to express my disappointment with it. After a long hiatus from singing, i tot i would return to it more enthusiastic than ever. But i felt so let down and i also dunno why. It just wasnt wat i was expecting it to be. i'm now questioning if i've lost interest in singing.
After that, met my church frens for dinner n had teppanyaki for dinner. It has been a loooong time eating teppanyaki and i have to say it was a BAD choice since my throat was sore after singing and the chilli in it was a major killer! Thank goodness the Expresso frap (DOUBLE YUM!) i had at starbucks after that made it better (Ya right haha!). Oh ppl if u read this and are plannin to go to starbucks antime soon. Please do not even consider eating their cinnamon roll. It was horrible. Tasted more like bread that anything. DUN WASTE YOUR MONEY!
SUN (10/12) - CHURCH DAY! ok i am not enthu abt going to church but it was soo long since i went for the evening service and was soo nice to meet up with my choir frens. Whether or not i enjoyed myself singing was another thing altogether. We had dinner at the Hongkong Cafe at Katong Village. But it was damn lousy. The food sucked, the service sucked even more... Told my fren not to go but he insist... Wat to do? Some ppl (myself included) can be very insistent n as frens we just have to bear with it right? But thanks to my GREAT suggestion (haha, so thick skinned!) we went to Settlers Cafe opp the road n had a ball playing some new games introduced! Guys we should go there one day! The board games there r damn fun!!!
MON (11/12) - Had to decorate the house for Christmas! The christmas tree is finally up! YAY! (oh christmas tree, oh christmas tree... you get the gist cos i cant remember the rest of the lyrics!) In my household, putting up the christmas decor is a BIG affair, so many things to put up man. And who has to do it every year? (Yours truly thanks... with the help of my abled assistant Mumsy!) If u all have a chance, come over n see my WORK OF ART! MAGNIFIC!
(Haha that was shameless...) Did it till like 2am man.. so woke up damn shack today.
TUE (12/12 aka ToDaY!) - So my dear frens after being super lor-sor, it has brought me to today. My mum has invited her frens over for a party and once again who else but yours truly has to stay home n help my mum prepare for it? (Time to get a maid! Jacq u free? we pay and feed well! haah!) Well at least i squeezed in an hour or so to update all of you on the incredible life of JADED JARED! HAHA!
Lots more shopping to do (so many frens and cousins to buy presents for!), more singing (Qorinne May's concert on Sat and Carolling @ Legends Club on 24, 25 Dec), lots of christmas wrapping, n so many frens to meet up in such a short span of time before school opens!!! Oh well... i guess we just have to take one day at a time don't we and let god make a way for us in everything we do?
Ok enough of my nonsense, have to get back to preparing a feast for tonight (this means opening more canned food and collecting the Christmas turkey and Ham we ordered... so much abt cooking rite? ha!)
