These past few days have been a time of reflection. Just as JH said. Wanted to write on Good Friday. Thank God that HE has risen and we can live vitorious lives and not defeated ones. On a lighter note, I'm going to the Maldives. Haha. Totally impromptu. My Uncle Fred informed me on Sat only. My Aunt doesnt wanna go so im going. Will update you all when I'm back. Have to go. Taxi is here. Yay. See you all. Will be back on Thurs morning.

the great wall - china's pride
That's us at The Great Wall - Badaling. The weather was pretty bad that day. Not only was it freezing cold (chilly winds numbed our faces), it was rather hazy too, so we couldn't get any nice shots of the Great Wall - clear crisp view. So this is The Great Wall's Best Shot...
Admittedly, I love the Taj Mahal more.... so so much more. I fell in love with it at first sight... The Great Wall??? It's impressive as a whole but it certainly lacked the WOW factor, but yes, a must-visit destination if you come to Beijing. A little too touristy... so if you wanna avoid the crowds, head for Simatai or Mutianyu.
It's Easter Sunday today, so Happy Easter to all folks. Had a very "siong" holy weekend. Attending City Harvest's Easter service yesterday night at Expo where the hall was bursting with eager worshippers. They had their annual Easter play, which is, IMO, The Passion - Asian version. In a nutshell, the sermon was about the meaning of the resurrection. One, it cancels our debts. Two, it gives us the ability overcomes our problems. Three, it allows our characters to change (for the better... DUH!!) I attended the 6:30am Sunrise service at my church. I contemplated giving the sunrise service a miss, but the sentimental me felt it was necessary for me to go not only because it has become a yearly tradition for our family, but because I won't be able to attend sunrise services over the next few years.... *sobs* After the sunrise service, we had hot-cross buns... also another yearly affair, which will always ring nostalgia in me while I'm away. Then I sat through the 8:30am Combined service in which the pastor had a very interesting message for us. The explicated the lessons learnt from the Road to Emmaus (read Luke 24:13-35). One of which is how our experiences with Jesus are best experienced through scripture, sacrament and regular spiritual worship and discipline. I can't help but agree with him. We are called not to be infants feeding on milk, but adults feeding on solid food. Hence, the walk to Christian maturity is to recognise and take responsibility with our relationship with God, letting Him work in our hearts, through the Holy Spirit. May you, my dear friend reading this, be not ashamed of the cross, instead with thanksgiving and praise, rejoice at the very fact that He has risen and this resurrection power has given us victory over death and sin. Be encouraged and know that we need Christ everyday... Have a great week ahead! Till we meet again...

China babies are really cute. Jared is shouting at this echo wall. We tried it and it really works. We can hear each other when we talk to the wall even though both of us are at opposite sides of the wall. 1st attraction in Beijing:Temple of Heaven Dear Lord, hear my prayer. Make me healthy,wealthy and wise. Liqun Kao Ya Fan Dian. Ulu place. Voted the best Peking Duck Restaurant by Times Mag in 2004?!?! That is Beniah. Hey peeps. We are back from China. Thank GOD. Haha. Time sure passed really slowly. Been rotting away at home cause no money. Sobs. I'm a poor poor boy. Managed to find a job with shaun(pri sch classmate) on mon. Went to International Plaza and signed up with a few job agencies and went Golden Shoe Carpark to sign up for this survey job. Not too bad. They pay 6 per piece. Tts 3 times more the average-on-the-street-surveyor. I'll be gg to diff poly to do it. Hopefully will be sent to the poly near my hse. Must help me ya whoever reads this and is still in poly. I'm so lazy n greedy sometimes. My friends are working for 5 per hr and here I am complaining abt a 6.5 per hr job. Sheesh. WAKE UP MR LYE! Anyway its a 3 wk stint and must find other jobs. Hope to hear from them or my mum's friend. Networking is very impt ya. Signed up for relief teaching too. Oh stop looking so shocked. I just applied for fun and mostly want to teach pri sch kids then again wldnt wanna ruin their little minds wld I?
Anyway its better to have a job than just wasting away my time at home. Watched LOST today but discovered that its not the whole season. Sorry colin. Sure am nervous to approach those students. Its by SDU and did u know that they fund NUS,NTU and the poly orientation. Signed up with some research company and when you graduate, you will get a yr free membership at SDU or some fee waiver. Let's see if lookism will kick in on mon. Need to get out the hse. Idle hands are the devils workshop. Shit something heavy just hit my roof. Wonder what is it.
Anyways, really bummed that mandisa is out. My predictions for the final four are Taylor,Katharine,Chris and Elliot. Fingers crossed. Thanks Bin for calling when I was feeling lousy. You're the best. Will definitely miss u guys if I go over esp mummy dearest and pop. But maybe its time for me to get on with another phase of my live but no one will be left behind.
