the final stretch
here i am, esconced in my favorite arm chair, sipping away a can of chilled Yeo's soyabean milk (man, this is probably one of the rare times i actually craved for a can of soymilk!) and in a mood for falling into a deep reverie... no, i meant in a mood for blogging! haha.... i've been wanting to detail down the things i ought to complete by graduation, hoping my litany of "to-dos" will get me psyched up and motivated to push myself, however huge the inertia and unwillingless to work, to get things that ought to be done done by the end of this semester.
but thinking of my exacting "to-dos" is overwhelming. very. let alone pen them down... but i guess i'll do it anyhow, in hope that my feeble efforts to muster whatever motivation i have now will work a miracle for me. let's see, the major things that are left in this final stretch..
1) 4 more Pchem lab reports which would take an average of 15 hours each to complete. 60 hours. Not to mention 2 more oral exams plus 3 quizzes....
2) 2 more Pchem exam, 2 more Dbio exams and many many more Jap quizzes and test (i figured no point in counting them coz I can have up to 2 or 3 per week)
3) Hilldale Poster presentation (which means I need to prepare a poster!)
4) Senior Honors Thesis (in the works...)
5) MSP write-up... a.k.a "Senior Honors Thesis Part 2!"
6) Sulfoxide paper (giving me a headache.... my surface knowledge on the subject is giving me a hard time synthesizing literature review, my data and my interpretation of results)
7) GRE Subject test on the 4th of April. (Less than 2 weeks and I have yet to start prepare for it!)
8) GRE General test end of April. (*gasp*)
Of course, all is not just work without play, even though I am finding it extremely challenging to balance the two. CL and I have been going for Ballroom Dancing classes every Monday. Also, we have been having visitors with us!! Strange, but Madison seems to be welcoming visitors from all over lately. XY and Gerald were here over the weekend, and Sihui is still sticking around Madcity.... Some seniors came by last month, and we'll be expecting Jo and Kenneth next month. Can't wait... And Royst and I have been "assiduously" training for our 2okm Lake Monona Run early in May. Last but not least, the family will be here for my graduation in May! The west coast roadtrip itinerary is still in the works. I've been wanting to finish up with all the bookings but.... sighz.
here's my fave pic from our short sojourn at the Carolinas this Spring break. It was a delightful respite from the pressures of school, but unfortunately, i was under the weather (literally and metaphorically). It rained for most days when we there and I was harrassed by a horrible virus.
The Great Smoky Mountains, Cherokee, NC.8 more weeks to graduation.... so much happening in the next 2 months....
too much....
too fast....
i don't think i'm ready.
