vancouver: not enough of canada!

Hello peeps,

Back from my Spring break! Yipee.... Not that I'm happy that this wonderful break has come to a close, it's because I'm so close to going back home now.... Haha... Feels as though I just came over. Gotta gear up for this last leg of this semester - 5 more weeks... 5 more weeks! Spring break was a nice time to recharge ourselves. As our Spring break was later than other schools, we were able to avoid the peak "travelling season" and also enjoy the warmer temperatures out there in Vancouver and Seattle. Vancouver was a little cold though, but nowhere near the terrible cold here in Madison. As we alighted the bus from Chicago to the Union (where the bus terminates in Madison), we were "warmly" greeted by the icy breeze. To our horror, it's still sub zero here in Madison! :( Where are you Spring???

Shall have a really quick update before I catch up on my work, which I'm unfortunately lagging behind (brought stuff over to do, but we got too comsumed with play ;p)Here goes...

Stanley Park - Lion's Gate Bridge

Stanley Park is Vancouver's largest public park. From Prospect point, one could have a magnificent view of the Lion Gate's Bridge and the settlements opposite, with majestic ice capped mountains draping the background. Pretty sight!! And we also got a ticket for parking our cars without purchasing parking permit! :( BUT, when we went down to pay our fines, the person waived our charges because we are tourists! HAHA.... Lucky sia?

Capilano Suspension Bridge

Suspended 70metres above the ravine, this bridge is a magnet to tourists, like us. The view from the bridge was spectacular. The bridge seems to be much longer from the pictures we saw off the website. But nonetheless, a cool spot to spend an afternoon. Oh, we also walked through a canopy on a mini suspended bridge track.

Granville Island

This tiny island off Vancouver is home to one of the finest market in town. Every item on sale seems to be calling out for our attention, especially the pastries.

Overlooking the pier from Granville Island

I could have become an artist.... I miss my paints... I wanna draw again...

And yes, HAPPY EASTER to you all! For He has risen indeed! ;)

Updates of Seattle coming soon!

cheers,
dash
