last halloween @ madcity

can't believe i'm celebrating my last halloween here in madison already. even though it has been 2 years since my first halloween, i can still vividly remember the hype and excitement of halloween during my freshman year. i can't even bring myself to tell other what i was when people asked me what i was wearing.... last year, some folks claimed i declared myself "The Blue Man", since I was all clad in blue, and had bad blue streaks which didn't really turn out well. this year, with jared's "venezian" mask, all i had to do was to borrow a nice black coat from my roomie and get a fresh stalk of rose from walgreens (that cost USD4) and wala.... i've got my halloween outfit!

this year's halloween party was no exception. it was another photo whoring session... haha.. hey, it's not just me ya know.... everyone else is busy taking photos with everyone else. now, here's me and my roomie. he forgot how to tie a toga, so he had to look up youtube for live demo. despite the demonstration, he still couldn't figure out how to, so swee sen and i were roped in to help tie the toga.

that's swee sen as clark kent (aka superman) and Cathy as petite little Alice from Wonderland. Royst pulled off the blue mask pretty well and yea, we were the suave "heros" of the night.... haha ;Dlet's see.... we have harry potter, joker's "kah kia", holy shit, clark kent, alice, freaky jester and 3 venezian masquerades....
we've got quite a nice variety of costumes this year.. seemed like everyone put in lots of effort to dress up this year.

went to dig out some old photos from my hard disk. found all the pumpkin carving pictures that was taken since 2006. have been carving pumpkins all my halloween since freshman year, and every year, i try to carve a different one. i remember carving a mean looking pumpkin and even named it "Mean Jack"...
Me and Mean Jack (2006)
then i decided to carve a cuter looking one last year (2007)
2008and this year, i chose the biggest pumpkin to carve... i haven't got a name for it, and i didn't know what i was carving. nonetheless, someone did comment that it looked very geometric - a "math" or "engineered" pumpkin??? will definitely miss this yearly event at IFC after i leave madcity... really hope i could go back and help out at IFC next sem when I'm less tied up with school.
happy halloween folks! :)
