My 5fives

Hey peeps... i've just come back from 3 consecutive camps and have a week's rest before going for another compulsory camp next week so i'm super shack!!!! Before updating my own blog about the camps, I've decided to blog here first after seeing this very meaningful Friday5fives, so give me extra credit ok!!! Hahaha... go to my blog from tomorrow onwards (hope I have time to blog tomorrow) to read more about my camps.

Actually, when something like "The 5 Principles I Live By" is such titled, I feel that there is a strong suggestion of absolutism and state of idealism to it and that I always follow these principles. As some of you might know, I don't like absolutism and don't believe in absolutely adhering to anything to perfection. Hence I would retitle my principles as "The 5 Currently-Not-Necessary-Forever Best Principles I Would Like to Live By Most of the Time".

1. I Won't Live My Life to Other People's Guidelines And Principles
Simply put - my life is my life. Don't tell me how to live it. And your standards are not my standards. I won't presume to know anything better than you and similarly, don't presume to know anything better than me.

2. Keep Away From Commenting From Any Subject Area When One Does Not Have Knowledge and Do Not Assume to Have Knowledge
If you don't know anything about the topic, shut up. Don't presume/assume to have knowledge of any information when one is actually oblivious to topic being discussed. Doing so will pile shit on one's face and embarass oneself. Futhermore, one will lose one's credibility and miscommunicate with other people over issue involved.

3. Never Ever Judge One By One's Look
Again, the thing is, gather information, understand, look, see, poke, gather more information, understand more, than give evaluation. Do not be too quick to give judgement on people. Human beings are such diversified creatures.

4. Respect is Never Accorded Automatically, It Has to be Earned

Being courteous and polite is totally different from having respect. Respect comes from mutual interaction and one's regard for each other in work and life. Title, Authority, Status, Relationship mean bullshit to me. I just want to know and understand who and what you are and believe in.

5. Live Each Day to the Fullest
If you all have read my blog, my latest post talks a lot about Steve Jobs' speech that he gave at Stanford, and I totally subscribe to what he says. Please go read it. Don't wish to repeat myself here. Hahahahaha... Similar to Jared's "bonus principle". One reason why I am joining so many camps. Hurhurhur...

OK. That's all.

Me super exhausted. Going to sleep now. Hope to blog about camps tomorrow. See you guys soon.
