falling back to mad city - Sioux Falls, South Dakota
1st september 2007, saturday
It's time to say goodbye to the lovely lodge the four had stayed for the past three nights. The two guys really couldn't part with their Serta mattress. How they wished they could each have one in their own rooms back in Madison. They would have loved another night's stay at KBarS lodge. Afterall, the four wanted to walk a trail to explore the forested areas just around the lodge but have never got down to doing so.
8th and final stop: SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota
This is Sioux Falls, the largest city in South Dakota. And this beautiful triple waterfall can be found at Falls Park, located in the heart of Sioux Falls. The four made their way up to a four/five storey or so Observation Tower to savour the best view the Big Sioux River can offer.
It took them almost another 8 hours before they got back to Wisconsin. Stopped by Famous Daves (ooooooooo.... fantastic ribs I tell you. The last time I had them was a year ago. Check August 2006 in the archives) and had a huge platter of babyback ribs and pulled pork glazed with their famous sweet and sassy sauce, roasted half-chicken, a mountain load of potato wedges, fluffy corn muffins and coleslaw.2nd sept 12:05am... Home.
