The Last Update for 2006 by the Blogger formerly known as Jaded J.

I cant believe that after weeks of blogging i have finally reached this point....
That is, i have diligently blogged my going ons in 2006 from the start of dec holidays til my adventures during Christmas.
And i have to say, i am proud of myself :) cos when i 1st started off, i honestly thought that i would lose steam and give up halfway, but well... here it is with pictures to back up of course.

But before i start my last post on 2006, i have decided to change my nick.
Why u might ask?
Well, its all becos of Ms JACQ who says that anyone who uses the nick Jaded is GAY!!!!
Thanks girl... You're soooo nice!
Now i'm nick-less...
I tink i'll just call myself...
NICKless! Haha so creative rite?
Any other suggestions ppl?
Ok now back to the crunch...

My Christmas of Yr 2006!

-Family photo Xmas 06 -
(With my mum's fren, i had another one of just us but i looked like crap so this will do hahah!)

24th Dec (Sun) - Well i had a carolling gig to do with my church choir at Legends Club @ Fort Canning over 2 days (24th & 25th). Honestly, after doing carolling for sooo many years (from JC time til now... Wow that is like 5 YEARS!!! MAN we're OLD!) I'M SICK OF IT! I really need to take a break from it. If not for the fact that the choir was desperate for singers, i would have definitely declined doing it. Its reached to the point where i could memorise every part for the carols, which sucks haha! But i believe that my friend Sam did say we are foing to take a break next year. HOORAY! i have to say that the club is really nice. It looks so lavish and opulent. Wonder how much membership will cost (DREAM ON JARED!) After our 1/2 hour performance at 730pm, we had dinner in the Chinese restaurant which was SCRUMPTUOUS! The soup was to die for and the Wasabi Prawns... Magnific!

Next went to church for Midnight Mass. This is part of a family ritual for me... However, each year the pageant before midnight mass is getting more and more abyssmal. This year marked a new low in the pageant since all they did was screen some lame US production of the nativity. I couldn't help stop bitching about it (wat a sinner rite? bitching in church haha! But trust me, i was not alone!) Worse of all... Mother Mary looked MUSLIM! Ok please excuse me cos it was not a racist comment at all... It was just to reiterate the inappropriateness of the whole pageant. Then came the half past six choir (yes, they literally sing for the half past six slot on sat in my church... Heh!) which was quite crap and worse of all sang song where noboday knows wat thw hell they were singing. When they finally sang O Holy Night during Thanksgiving hymn (almost at the end of mass for those non-catholics out there...), everyone was like singing their hearts out cos they had been restrained from doing so the whole mass since they could not join in any earlier!!! Imagine the horror!!!!!

25th Dec (Mon) - @ 130am my mum's side went back to my Grandma's House fot our traditional christmas supper and opening of presents cum Photography session. If you all hadnt known by now... Christmas is a REAL BIG THING for my family, especially my mum's side. We get all dolled up for mass and to take photos to commemorate each year (maybe we are all just photo whores haha!). But this ritual holds a significant meaning to me. Through the years my friends ask me out to celebrate Christmas with them after mass, however its a natural reaction for me to reject them since i hold this family tradition in high esteem. What saddens me though is that not all my family members think the same. As the years have gone by, i have seen the strength declining (especially my older cousins who do not value this memorable event each year...) and the enthusiasm from all reducing (maybe its becos my uncles and aunties are growing old while the younger cousins are all maturing and do not find joy in presents anymore. Now everyone just want ANG-POWS for CHRISTMAS!? So ironic rite?) I do hope that this family tradition persists, especially in today's society where there is a thinner bond between extended families. Many do not see that it is these lil events such as christmas gatherings, Kid's birthday parties etc that will keep the bond alive!

My dear Cousins!!!

I cant stand it when my bro tries to take poser photos... So i had to compliment it with..

THIS! HAHA!!! Isnt unglam or wat? I'm gooood....

Oh and now its me and my bro posing... Heh! Its in the genes la!

INTRODUCING:
The Babes

& Hunks of the Tee Family!

Aww... Don't they look adorable?

The aftermath left in my Grandma's house thanks to the young kiddies n their spray cans! My mum would have fainted if she had to clear this!!!

Ok enough of the serious stuff!

After reaching home at 5am and sleeping at 6 the next mornin... i was dragged out of bed at 9 to go for carolling AGAIN! was super moody and pissed, thank goodness for coffee!!! haha! It truly works WONDERS! once again we performed at Legends, this time for a lunch crowd. At this point i have brought myself to bitching mode. I have to say that i was super fed up with one of the members of the carolling, her irresponsibilty as a chorister totally made me lose more respect for her as a person. Being in a school choir all my life, i hav learnt the important of group dynamics, of knowing how critical EVERY member is in a performance. For that simple fact, commitment is the key. If u commit to something, you stick to it no matter whether you are sick or not. And unless you are in a hospital warded, you better turn up for the performance. What she missed out on the point is that it doesnt matter if you hav no voice to sing or not, it is the action of turning up to even give moral support for your fellow group members that is key. The worse thing is that she dared to show face during choir practice before mass unapologetic and still had enough voice to blast during mass itself. That totally put me in a pissed off mode the whole night. I believe i will never be able to respect her enough anymore til she makes an apology to each and every member of the carolling group and understands what she did wrongly. Oh well, after all this drama, we still survived without her and dragged myself one more time to church, totally drained and in auto pilot mode. Thanks goodness for Coffee cup No. 2 from Dome cafe that day which helped me through another few hours... Had a good time chillin with all the carolling grp ppl and crapping with them... Heh!

LUNCH @ Dome Cafe in Park Mall

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon! Obviously i'm the dragon la! Haha!!!

After strainin my voice through mass and losing it for the next 1 and 1/2 weeks, we proceeded to Cafe Cartel which i had dinner with some of my friend and a long lost friend whom i hardly get to meet nowadays...
Though in my zombie state, i still enjoyed myself thanks to Coffee No. 3 (Cartellina Frap!!!) there. Ya i know... Yes i'm a coffee addict! Like you all didnt know that! Heh! Finally i reached home totally exhausted and konked out at home!!!

a) Dun wanna spoil the fun if i were to blog all of it at once
b). And MORE importantly, I'm tired!
