yellowstone selects...

hey folks,
i'm back from Yellowstone and the Rocky Mountains. There's no use for me to go on describing what I saw at Yellowstone or the Rockies as I know my limited vocabulary and incompetency in the command of the English Language will never, if ever do justice to the very beauty of what I saw with my own eyes. So I shall let the pictures do the talking.... haha...

rush hour traffic at Yellowstone... Living road block, America's buffalo - the Bison.

The pungent sulfur fumes emanating from the Sulfur Caldron... Brings back memories of Rotorua in NZ.

Unbelievably gorgeous is the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Looks very much like a painted picture than the real thing itself. Trust me, this is not photoshopped! ;p

With one of the 100 over geysers that dot Yellowstone Park.

Canary Springs of the Mammoth Hot Springs Area

Overlooking the Yellowstone River... isn't this magnificent?

Orange Mound Spring

Splashed with a riot of colors - the Norris Geyser Basin

My personal fave.. the Emerald pool! Hmm.. it's certainly not because of my inclination for the color green, but really, this particular pool strikes me more than any other geysers. Hm, maybe beauty of the Pearl geyser and the Morning Glory Pool can be be on par with the Emerald.

Check back my Picasa website for more stunning pictures of Yellowstone!! You guys must see it for yourselves.

************
i trudged my feet to the door, raised my right arm and gave the door a light knock.

she opened the door and almost immediately, i could feel a slight sour temper infecting the household. there were 2 other guests in the house, both whom I have not met before. He sat there, working his mouth, fingers engulfed in some brown sauce, through a piece of meat. There was a curt hello - as though we were mere acquaintances.

sensing a wordless atmosphere radiating, i stretched out my hand and greeted his guests after his terse introduction, "This is KH." i asked him about his recent trip and his replies were straight to the point, lacking in his usual casualness and cheery tone.

ah, maybe it was his guests... and that he was tired from all the cooking and entertaining, just like i was after returning from my trip. i sure hope everything is alright.
