The LaTe 5
Friday 5s? Sounds very fun! Haha.. Am I long overdue because it's already Sunday over here..
I must agree that a weekly friday 5 is super xiong.. So do we change topic everytime? Like 5 top songs or games or something?
Nice hairstyle Qing.. And you look so tanned! Haha.. Why's everyone dying their hair?
Well congrats slacker for passing your driving. Having fun in US I see.. Enjoy yourself man. Better buy something for us!
Friday 5s... In no oder of merit..
1) Sausage McMuffin extra value meal (change coffee to orange juice)
Dad always used to wake up early even on Sundays to buy Macs breakfast for us. And sometimes when we feeling a little less lazy the family would follow him to Macs for a Sunday breakfast. I would always want the McMuffin cos I like the bread they use.. And I've never like coffee in any way (till now I only drink Frappuccino) so it'd always be orange juice or milo for me. I think you have to pay 25cents more. But I was lovin' it.
2) Wanton Mee
This is one of my absolute favourites from the coffee shop near my house. Sighz, I miss going to Lorong Liew Lian to buy food. Man it's waves of nostalgia flooding over me writing this post. Could we change topic for the next friday 5s please Jared? Haha.. "Lucky Noodles" always serve the best wanton especially with chilli. For a period I'd upgraded to buying 2 packets for each meal for myself, with extra green chilli. I hope the old couple will still be around when I return...
3) Chicken Rice
No need more explanation. I could eat this for the rest of my life. (Note: I didn't say for every meal though..Hehe. But seriously, who doesn't like chicken rice! Hainanese boneless chicken rice with drumstick and egg and bean sprouts and toufu...Ahhhh)
4) Fried egg kiap between bread w/tomato sauce or Toast
Easy to make nice to eat. It's one of the breakfast I most commonly have because Mum always fries the egg and kiap it between 2 slices of white bread. Then she'd pour some tomato sauce and put them in a zip lock. I'll eat it on the way to school, or during the holidays, she'd fry the egg and leave it n the kitchen. I'd wake up to find that together with a cup of milo. Simply delicious!
5) Rojak
Hehe.. There was an uncle who used to cycle near our house to sell rojak. When my brother was around 3 years old my Dad used to put him in the back seat of the bicycle and I'd join them in cycling around the neighbourhood. It was really fun.. And we'd always buy 2 packets (1 chilli 1 no chilli) of rojak from the uncle and bring home to eat.
Childhood. Ahz. Memories.
