If Only I was Mugging --- The sad fact is that I'M NOT!
Ok yes ppl...
I'm here to fulfill my blogging duties.
Haha! Yes jacq this post is especially to dispel any pre-conceived thoughts u have of Jared, and him being a mugger.
Well... the honest truth is i havent touched my books for the last 2 days already k?
Ha! and i have my 1st mid term paper on tuesday. So i'm screwed ha!
Plus you already know too about how i spent watching 6 hours of TV on wednesday so wat MUGGER?
that is utter rubbish la!
Ok ya so more about my 6 hours of tv...
This is gonna be interesting man..
I reached home from school at about 2.30pm from school, thinking that it was great cos that will mean i devote at least 4 hours to my studies and still watch some tv.
Then i turned on the tv, and simply pu, became a couch potato! Ha!
Well here was my Tv and interenet usage schedule for that day.
2.30 - 3pm > Watched a rerun of Amazing Race
3 - 4.30pm > Checkin email, blog website, school website
5 - 6pm > Watching a real stupid show calloed Ellen on Channel 5 (Its like some talki show and they were talking abt the movie TRANSAMERICA and some stupiod etiquette stuff which i became totally engrossed in haha!)
6 - 7pm > More talk show crap watching guess wat... the queen of talk shows... OPRAH!
7 - 8pm > Then i flipped to Cable and started watching this Korean show similar to Da Chang Jin and became totally engrossed again.
8 - 9.30pm > Was flipping channels between 2 singing competitions and laughing how bad one was while was in awe of how great the other was. The 2 shows were Singapore Idol and the other was Rockstar: Supernova. I'll leave you all to guess which was which. Haha! (Its a dead giveaway i bet).
After all that tv, i went back to my room feeling so guilty and treid to make it up by reading my notes but the damage was done. I had created a new record for myself. Hhaa! I swear to do this again (in the near futurre. I NEED HELP! I'M ADDICTED TO TV!)
Anyway, i have something to admit once again.
No i DON'T have a girlfriend and wont be getting one for a LONG time by the looks of it. Haha!
Well, i did a very selfish act over the week.
My mum was planning to go with my cousin and aunty's family to visit Uncle Joe and Ee-gi's family in Shanghai and stay with them for like 3 weeks or so.
Then, she dropped the bomb and told me she was leaving mid Nov, only coming back somwhere early to mid december. I was real upset cos that is my exam period and i showed it to her. Asking her why can't she only go after my exams. I listed so many reasons. To me, they were all valid.
1. I already having problem coping with studies or even finding the motivation to study. Without her aorund, i will just end up watching more tv, using more computer which will mark the self-destruction of Jared
2. My bro and i will both be having exams at that time. Last year, while my bro was having his exams, at least i was at home to become the "professional maid" and clean the house, do the laundry, get food for ourselves. But this year, the situation will be so different. And i dont wanna get exploited by my bro again at the expense of my studies.
3. I am afraid of waking up late and not able to go for my exams on time. Somehow, alarm clocks just dont work for me at all.
She finally told me that she has decided not to go in Nov and will considering going in Dec.
I was so relieved and happy.
Then my cousin called and told me that My aunt and her are still going in Nov cos the ticket in Dec is more than $100 more expensive.
I reflected about it after my conversation with her. And saw that "valid" points were selfish. But i really do not want to screw up my 1st Sem. I feel so much pressure to perform, and the 1st sem, to me, sets the bar, your standard in school.
Thus i'm now stuck in this dilemma.
I think i know wat will be the right thing to do.
But, you know wat, for whatever reasons now, i still will do the wrong thing.
Dont judge me by this please. Cos i already know what you all are going to say.
